LG has released its new flagship smartphone Optimus G just about a week ago. Personally I have a bad impression about LG’s built quality because of LG’s touch screen feature phones as the time I used it, just sucked in built quality. The choice of cheep plastic and specially rubber hinges tend to break occasionally with all LG phones I encountered back in time. Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate plastic and I too believe quality plastic is the best suitable material for a phone because of its relatively high shock resistivity and doesn’t tend to get scratched like aluminum or glass materials does. However LG seems to be back on track of making quality smartphones by not only the build, but the features and software wise with LG’s new optimus G

The specs are almost unbelievable, and its the first device to employ qualcomm’s new Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core processor which runs circles around Tegra 3 and even Samsung’s Exynos 4412 which powers Galaxy SIII. Benchmark wise S4 pro device easily hits 7***+  on quadrant as the, qualcomm’s mobile development platform for the S4 pro had no problems hitting 7700 on quadrant.

Camera is ginormous 13MP for such a thin (8.5mm) smartphone, LG’s nothing new to making impressive camera modules, so we can actually expect most out of that 13MP camera and on software side, it has zero-shutter lag and very useful addons like “Time Catch Shot” as LG calls it and it captures frames before you press the shutter button and few frames after the shutter button, which comes in handy when you are in a hurry to capture that unexpected moment.

LG’s True IPS HD+ LCD display which is  768 x 1280 pixels in resolution , 4.7 inches (~318 ppi pixel density) with touch panel integrated to the display might be the best display out there in the planet when it comes to color quality and the will force others like Samsung to push barriers of AMOLED and step up the game.

Following the passion of Samsung Galaxy SIII , this time LG has added many software improvements such as watching video while doing some other work, which is interesting approach to Samsung’s “pop up play” feature.  There are many additions to the stock android and even the launcher is refined on the Optimus G

You can watch the official video review below which is made by LG for Optimus G to understand the stunning features of this beast
